Get urgent help
If you're feeling like you want to end your life, it's important to tell someone.
Help and support is available right now if you need it. You do not have to struggle with difficult feelings alone.
If you need urgent help right now, call us on 0300 300 0099 and you'll be able to speak to someone.
For out of hours support (5pm-9am, weekends and Bank Holidays) please contact the FTB Crisis Team on 0300 300 0099, option 1 (then option 1 for under 18, and option 2 for 18-25).
You can also call NHS 111 option 2 for 24/7 mental health support.
If you are feeling low or anxious and would prefer to text, type the word ‘Space ’ and send to 85258.
The Samaritans also have a 24-hour telephone helpline: 116 123.
For help and support with starting a difficult conversation with someone you’re worried about see the Samaritans website.
Those seeking advice and information for people experiencing mental health difficulties, and not a mental health crisis, are encouraged to call the Birmingham Mind Mental Health Helpline (0121 262 3555; Freephone 0800 915 9292) between 9am and 11pm.
In the event of immediate risk to yourself or others, please call 999 or attend A&E.
